Costs & Fees
To provide you with the highest quality of care Dr. Linda Tao utilizes more time and to develop a personalized treatment plan for you.
Instead of talking at you for 10 minutes and sending you out the door with a prescription, Dr. Tao utilizes a sufficient amount of time to work with you to address the root causes of your problems.
While out-of-network, Linda L. Tao, M.D., P.C. will provide you with a superbill with diagnostic codes that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. (See our Costs & Fees FAQs below for more information).

Costs & Fees FAQs
Q: What types of payment does your practice accept?
A: We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We ask that our patients pay the full balance when services are rendered.
Q: Does your practice accept insurance?
A: Due to the nature of extensive care in this practice, we do not accept any form of medical insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. If you are enrolled in Medicare Part B, we ask that you fill out this Medicare opt-out form. You may seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier if you have out-of-network benefits. We will provide you with an itemized bill with diagnostic ICD-10 codes and procedural CPT codes for you to file a claim with your insurance company yourself. Prior to your initial consultation, you will be required to sign this contract in agreement that you are responsible for the payment for services rendered at Linda L. Tao, M.D., P.C.
Q: I have Medicare and/or Medicaid. Will either of both of those plans cover my visit?
A: Patients with Medicare or Medicaid (even if it is secondary) cannot submit for reimbursement. Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to complete and sign the Medicare opt-out form.
Q: How can I be sure that my insurance plan will reimburse me for my visit?
A: To simplify the process, we recommend calling your insurance company prior to your visit to find out about what your specific plan will cover. We’re more than happy to provide insurance codes for registered new patients.
Q: My insurance company is requesting more information. I think it would be easier if someone from the practice could speak with them. Could you provide them more information on my behalf?
A: We have found that some insurance companies request additional information that is very specific and specialized to that provider. Please note that given the large number of discrepancies between what each company requires and that time needed to meet those requests, we do not assist with insurance reimbursement above and beyond the diagnosis, tests codes, and receipt given at check out.
